The Wall Street Journal is looking for an experienced editor to lead our coverage of the U.S. economy.

As U.S. Economy Bureau Chief, you’ll manage a team of reporters covering the U.S. economy and Federal Reserve at a pivotal time. Unemployment, spending and inflation data all tell us that the economy is in good shape. The people living in it say otherwise. There are countless stories to be told in this gulf between data and sentiment, stories that will help our audience cast their votes in the coming presidential election.

We’re looking for an editor who’s fluent in Fed-speak and economic data. Equally important is the ability to help reporters unearth and develop the people-driven stories that illuminate it.
