Global life insurance group Resolution Life has announced the appointment of Ruth Farrugia as Chief Investment Officer, who will succeed Karl Happe as part of a planned transition.
Farrugia, a senior finance executive with over 20 years’ experience in the asset management sector, is joining the company from MetLife Investment Management where she was Global Head of Insurance Asset Management.
In this role, the executive was responsible for the execution of investment strategies for the MetLife general account and development of strategic solutions for insurance company third party clients.
Before joining the MetLife Investments division, Farrugia served in several roles, including Head of EMEA Portfolio Management and Head of Investments for Western and Central Europe.
