IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has released the first attractions industry economic analysis for the Middle East region including a number of African countries. This extensive report provides insight into the transformative impact that attractions have on the economy.
The study was commissioned by IAAPA and undertaken by Tourism Economics in 2023, with data compiled from 2022.
‘Resilience & potential’
The research reviewed data from 15 countries across the region and included a wide range of attractions such as amusement and theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centres (FEC), zoos and aquariums, museums and science centres, and historical, cultural, and natural attractions.
