Greensboro business files for bankruptcy, leaving customers, employees, and other businesses with no money.

GREENSBORO, N.C. —  WFMY News 2 started hearing from customers of Oak Ridge Painting Company, who had given deposits for written contract projects and couldn’t get a hold of the company. As our story was airing on Tuesday, the company was filing for bankruptcy. 

The notice of bankruptcy filing was 5:49 pm on 5/26/2026. The filing includes a list of 90 creditors, people and businesses, and employees that Oak Ridge Painting Co. owes money to.  The owner, Matt Rossman, is listed. 

The case filing is 60 pages long and includes businesses like Sherwin-Williams for $10,130 in supplies. Several subcontractors are owed $12,000 in back pay, customers who paid deposits are on the hook for a few thousand dollars to over $12,000, and even employees of the company are listed for several missed paychecks.
