Battery, alternator stolen from woman’s car while parked in business’s lot: Lyndhurst police blotter

LYNDHURST, Ohio —

Theft: Mayfield Road

At 11:35 a.m. Aug. 19, a 71-year-old Cleveland Heights woman reported that parts had been stolen from her car as it was parked in the lot of Goldie’s Donuts & Bakery, 5211 Mayfield Road, in Lyndhurst.

Missing from the car was its battery and alternator, worth a combined estimated total of $340.

OVI: Richmond Road

At 2:25 a.m. Aug. 24, an officer stopped a car seen weaving on Richmond Road, at Cedar Road.

The driver, a Bedford woman, 32, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested for OVI.

The woman was found to have a blood-alcohol content of .121, above the state minimum for drunk driving of .08.

Disturbance: Mayfield Road

At 3 p.m. Aug. 23, a female employee of Snow Bros. Appliance, 5528 Mayfield Road, called dispatch and asked to speak with an officer about a male customer who had been in the store earlier in the day.
