WVDHF announce investment plans, sale of senior health facilities

WEST VIRGINIA (WCHS) — The West Virginia Department of Health Facilities announced plans to potentially sell four long-term senior care facilities, officials say.

WVDHF has partnered with healthcare merger and acquisition advisors, Lument Securities, LLC, with the goal of improving the quality of care through the sale and license transfer of the facilities without interruption of care, according to a release from the department.

The senior care facilities include the following:

  • Jackie Withrow Hospital in Beckley
  • John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont
  • Hopemont Hospital in Terra Alta
  • Lakin Hospital in West Columbia.
