JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — A fire that broke out Saturday morning left a family’s barn, semis and business completely destroyed.
The Janesville Fire Department and surrounding agencies responded to the call of a fire at around 6:30 a.m. Homeowner Heather Kraus said a couple came to the property to alert her that their barn was on fire while she was getting ready to feed her horses, a routine chore for her in the morning.
“If those people wouldn’t have stopped, I don’t think we’d be here,” Kraus said.
Kraus’ husband runs Happy Holstein Haven Trucking, and losing three semis is devastating for business and employees who are now out of work as a result of this fire.
