ANDERSON — Businesses all over Madison County participated in Black Friday sales, which for some is a gateway to Small Business Saturday, a day in which Americans shop for deals at local small businesses.
Buyers scouring the shops in downtown Pendleton could stop into the newest location of Apple Butter Barn Country Store, which specializes in gifts and home goods.
Kay Kelley, who co-owns Apple Butter Barn with her partner, Toby Upton, said they recently closed their Noblesville location and moved to a larger space in Pendleton.
The bigger space, she said, seemed to make more sense. That building may feel quite small if customers swarm the place to get in on Saturday’s deals.
