CU home games generated big economic impact, study says

BOULDER, Colo. — Colorado Buffaloes football head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ impact extends well beyond the football field, according to a recent study. 

Visit Boulder said in a release Friday that with all the increased attention Sanders has brought to the Buffs, home CU football games are estimated to have generated an economic impact of $113.2 million during the 2023 season.

The release said that number represents the estimated economic impact on the broader Boulder region and encompasses various facets of economic impact including direct, indirect and induced effects.
