LNJ reporter wins Texas Veterans Commission award
Jordan Green, a Report for America corps member at the Longview News-Journal, has won the Texas Veterans Commission Excellence in Media Award in the print division.
Green was recognized for his four-part series, “East Texas veterans adjust to life after military service.”
Green, who is originally from Oklahoma, joined the News-Journal in 2023.
Report for America is a national service program under the nonprofit media organization The GroundTruth project. The program helps place journalists into local newsrooms “to report on under-covered issues and communities.”
