County leaders say the new FAYAT Group distribution center highlights Fairfield County’s growing industrial sector.
RIDGEWAY, S.C. — FAYAT Group and Mecalac celebrated the grand opening Tuesday of a new distribution center in Fairfield County as part of an expansion tied to Mecalac’s relocation to South Carolina.
County officials said the Massachusetts-based Mecalac operation has been integrated into the new FAYAT Group facility in the Fairfield Commerce Center. The project follows a groundbreaking ceremony held June 25, 2025.
Officials said the relocation is expected to improve coordination and streamline operations by placing leadership, administration and operational functions together on the same campus.
